The Silver Society allows a donor to create and name an award or scholarship designed to reflect the donor's interest and criteria and to support any of the following:

  • Student with a scholarship designed by the donor
  • Teacher or principal who made a difference to the donor's family
  • Program or field of study that interests the donor at a particular school

Upon receipt of a $25,000 gift to the BVEF Endowment Fund, BVEF commits to give a $1,000 annual award in perpetuity to a scholarship, staff member, school or program of the donor's choosing.

Pledges up to five years in length from the date of the first pledge payment are eligible for the Silver Society. Payment may be in cash or listed securities.

A Memo of Understanding between BVEF and the donor summarizes the intent of the award and clarifies retained powers of the donor, the Blue Valley School District and the BVEF Board of Directors.
